Graduation Cakes.

My sister recently graduated from the University of Utah with a PhD. We are so proud of her accomplishment. I think one of the best ways to celebrate is with food and cake is really wonderful.

This is a white cake with chocolate ganache filling with a almond butter cream frosting.
It was very tasty!
I am very pleased! After you get your PhD. You now can wear the "pillow hat"! Not just a miter board poky thing.
This "pillow hat" is made from scratch! red velvet with cream cheese frosting. I used fondant colored black to cover and shape the hat and took modeling chocolate for the tassel and yellow petal dust.
I think it turned out well.
